Bark and Bite

Sea Turtle Lane, map room 7
Lich room 19359
a crude wooden stick wagon with a thatched roof

[Bark and Bite, Entry]
Crafted from sticks lashed together, the walls of the rickety wagon have many gaps where fresh air from outside can waft in. The wooden plank floor is scattered with a layer of dirt and grime, and the glass-paned lanterns that hang from the thatch ceiling are covered with a layer of soot on two of the panes. In the center of this small entry room, a long wooden counter offers up refreshments for purchase, while at the back, an ivy-curtained archway leads deeper into the wagon.
Obvious exits: out

On the wooden counter you see a mug of wild nettle beer, a cup of hot apricot tea, a flute of oak leaf wine, a goblet of light cherry wine, a delicate robin's egg omelet, a bowl of crisp honey-drenched salad, a bowl of creamy mushroom soup, a stuffed fillet of trout, a warm almond fritter and a small loaf of acorn bread.

[Bark and Bite, Clothing]
Flanked on two sides by the loosely woven stick walls, the room is small and airy. An ivy-curtained archway dominates the foremost wall, while a crooked oak doorway resides at the back. Thickly layered, a leafy canopy obscures the thatch ceiling, and tiny orbs of glimaerstone dangle down, illuminating the area. A large constructed tree in the center of the room has low-hanging branches on which merchandise is displayed. Near the front, a polished oak rack and a lopsided chest hold several more items.
Obvious exits: none

On the low-hanging branches you see a dark leather backpack, a leaf-stitched forest green pack, a tightly woven grass rucksack, a loosely woven reed knapsack, an amber-beaded doeskin cape, a russet feather-woven apotla, a mist grey feather-woven apotl and a leaf-woven forest green cloak.

[Bark and Bite, Jewelry]
Small and cramped, this room lies at the very back of the wagon. The loosely lashed stick walls allow free air flow, preventing this room from being stuffy. A circular wooden pedestal resides in the center of the floor, with a miniature leafless tree and a small glass-paned case resting on top. Pieces of metal and jewels glint within the tree, reflecting the light of the lanterns. A crooked oak doorway on one wall leads out of the room, and a low wooden bench sits beside it.
Obvious exits: none

On the leafless tree you see a beaded silver anklet, a thinly braided suede anklet, a mistwood and jade bead anklet, a tooled leather bracelet, a dark suede wristband, a jade-inlaid silver wristlet, an amber-beaded gold link bracelet, a silver-strung jade leaf pendant, a gold-strung amber heart necklace, a jewel-set woven reed basrenne, a glass-beaded leather huiteo, a thin silver-linked ferroniere and an amber-set delicate gold ferroniere.

Brews and Bread

Pelican Lane, map room 8
Lich room 19361
a high-peaked white tent

[Brews and Bread]
Stark white cloth material swoops upward into a high peak, lending a spacious feel to the tent, and multiple blazing torches hanging from above light the area. Dotting the straw-covered ground, neatly stacked crates are topped with frothy mugs of ale. A low sideboard displays plates of bread and liquid-filled saucers. Sealed barrels and unused kegs are arranged behind and around the crates, clearly awaiting use. You also see a discolored wooden half-barrel carved with neat lettering.
Obvious paths: east, out

In the Common language, it reads:

The finest brews I bring to you
from the humble region of Oire,
where the flavors are rich,
the berries ripe,
and taste and quality are of the highest caliber!
Treat yourself to our hearty bread, made from
the very best grain
that we grow,
all farmed with great love and care.
TEAR the fresh-baked loaves,
then dip the pieces into
these special sauces that were
concocted in our very own kitchens.

The scent of freshly baked bread mingles with the distinct aroma of red wine, affording the room a decadent atmosphere. Plush velvet arm chairs are scattered near the burgundy silk walls, while a linen-draped serving table dominates the center of the room. One contains glassware of all shapes and sizes, and others hold a variety of wares. Centrally located, a polished mahogany sideboard is laden with beverages in ornate bottles. Ensconced lanterns illuminate the room and cause the garnet beads from the curtained archway to cast small, globular red shadows on the floor.

[The Classy Glutton, Bread]
Stronger here, the scent of freshly baked bread permeates everything in the room. A warm wood stove in one corner seems to be the culprit, along with a long wooden prep table laden with baked goods. Against one wall is a glass-fronted case filled with silverware, their surfaces glittering in the light of a round, glowing orb that dangles from the ceiling. A small window allows faint breezes to move the amber-beaded curtain hanging in the doorway, occasionally filling the room with musical tinkling sounds.

The Dwarven Table

Cormorant Lane, map room 15
Lich room 19370
a nondescript grey canvas tent

[The Dwarven Table]
Decorated to resemble the cozy interior of a dwarven home, delectable traditional food has been laid out upon tables arranged around the room. A sample breakfast is available on the table to the east, lunch to the north, and dinner to the west. To the south, a small stand of snacks is available for those with less heartier appettites. You also see a large informative sign.
Obvious exits: out

In the Common language, it reads:

Welcome to the Dwarven Table. Here, you can learn a little about traditional dwarven fare and taste some sample dishes. Enjoy!
Breakfast:
Breakfast is the most important meal for a dwarf heading off to work all day in the mines. This porridge is a common breakfast staple and is known as "berek." It is made from barley cooked with fermented milk. Mutton or other meat from last night's meal is normally added, but sometimes dried fruit is included as well.
Lunch:
Lunch is typically packed into small metal pails for easy transport into the mines. They are heated over communal fires at lunch time, where miners will talk about their mornings' work and expectations for the second half of the day. While the foods are uncomplicated, they are hearty enough to keep dwarves full for hours.
Dinner:
Dinners at home are a time to spend with family and friends, and meals are more elaborate. They are typically large and involve several meats including indigenous cave fish, such as snapjaw. It is important to have just more than enough food for all who sit at the dinner table.
Snacks:
Snacks are critical during the working day. Dwarves low on energy are more prone to accidents in the mine. These snacks are all easy to carry and filling. They include the typical fare of meat, barley, and fungi that are staples in the dwarven diet. Sarak is a dense barley bread laced with dried fruit.

On the breakfast table you see some fried oatcakes, a potato and mushroom hash, a tankard of draft cider, a stein of dark coffee stout and a bowl of thick barley porridge.

an open-walled bamboo leaf stall

[Island Imports, Precious Gems]
This open-walled stall has a support structure of long, polished bamboo poles, and a ceiling crafted of large banana leaves. Several torches, set in the dirt at the corners, illuminate the room. A low bamboo counter runs the length of the stall in the center of the floor, and various containers for holding jewelry rest on top. The stall expands to the east and west, and is divided by strings of shells that hang from the ceiling in a curtain, click-clacking together with the slightest movement.
Obvious exits: east, west, out

You see various jewelry containers. Looking at the containers, you see a glass jewelry case, a mahogany jewelry tree and a velvet-lined onyx ring box.

In the jewelry case you see a kaleidoscopic saewehna macaw stickpin, a cluster of stained glass blossoms, a sea glass and coral toucan pin, a sunset garnet hibiscus brooch, a silver-strung green pearl anklet, a hemp-strung hematite orb anklet and a sea glass-set onyx-linked ferroniere.

a kaleidoscopic saewehna macaw stickpin

Show: Formed of a mosaic arrangement of saewehna in a rainbow of vibrant hues, the platinum stickpin has been fashioned to capture the colorfully-plumed visage of an island macaw. Each kaleidoscopic gem is blurred with veins of silver, enhancing the backdrop of platinum that serves as the setting for each gem. Minute etchings form the face and talons of the macaw, purposely understated to not take away from the intensity of the vivid saewehna.

The vibrantly colored petals are the clear focal point, with tiny sections filled with a full spectrum of brilliantly colored stained glass pieces. Dazzling saewehna jewels, cut into the shapes of their namesake hummingbirds, butterflies, fireflies, and dragonflies, are nestled amidst the silver framework and serve as complementary accents to the piece.

The coral body is sharply contrasted by the bright orange sea glass used for the bird's long beak. The breast and throat of the toucan are shaped from frosted, snow white sea glass, balancing out the pin's design. Set in small disks of crimson sea glass, tiny black pearls serve as its eyes, which gleam faintly in the ambient light.

Four prongs hold the cabochon in place and are aligned so as to mimic the flippers of the diminutive reptile whilst two tiny shimmering marcasites stare unblinkingly from beneath the gently curved lip of its protective shell.

Show: Carved from lacquered, fine-grained cocobolo wood, the bracelet appears as a nearly seamless infinity spiral in construction. Liana vines are etched along the spiraled edges, while delicately painted hibiscus and plumeria blossoms, accented by tiny chips of pale pink mistvein rubies and purple thunderhead opals, adorn the outer surfaces of the winding spiral. The darker inner surfaces resemble the lagoon's depths and are inlaid with lustrous absinthe green, midnight blue, and frosty pale violet pearls.

Item Label Information
Labels may be written on and attached to weapons, shields, armor, enhancives, most magic items, clothing and containers. Any text may be written on the label, and no guarantee is made whether it is true. The GM who created the labels, Jainna, has mentioned that OOC or inappropriate text might want to be avoided. When applied, the label’s text will be visible when the item it’s attached to is read. Labels cannot be manipulated or changed once applied, but they can be removed using the solvent also sold in the shop. New labels can also be added, replacing the old one.
Adding the label will not take the place of loresong information in the playershops. It will, however, replace existing text on an item such as a weapon name. The name could be appended to the label text, but there is a character limit to what can be added to the labels. Placing a label on an item appears not to affect any scripts that might already be present.
In writing the text on the labels, there does not appear to be a mechanic that supports writing in different languages. Nor does there appear to be a way to insert a line break. The label can be CLEANed to remove the text if it has not yet been applied to another item. Any item with the noun of 'quill' or 'stylus' can be used to write the text on the label.
Labels of a single type can be put inside a label box. When placed inside, the labels combine with the box to be considered one item altogether by the game, making it easier to avoid the 500 item inventory limit. Boxes initially hold only 10 labels, but skilled merchants can deepen them to hold more. Some raffled boxes had a maximum of 200, while the normal maximum is 100. Boxes can also be unlocked such that labels put inside and then removed are likewise unlocked to possess a few more scripts.
Labels, boxes and solvent may all be ANALYZEd for more information on usage, doses of solvent, alteration restrictions, unlocking status, label box capacity and so on.
Label Usage

You run your hands over the surface of your box, thoroughly checking for any imperfections.

>knock my box

You tap on your mistwood box in a staccato rhythm, casually glancing about the area.

>look in my box

There is a single label inside the mistwood box. It can hold a total of 20 and currently contains the style: "a tiny strip of parchment".

>pull my box

A merchant can alter the base description (15/15/15) or add a long description to this item that will show when you attach the label to a piece of gear. The noun MUST remain "label," "vellum," "parchment," "paper," or "tag."

If you are unsure how to write on this item, hold it and type WRITE.

You get no sense of whether or not the parchment may be further lightened.

[Mist Harbor Steins, South]
This room is dominated by a set of oak shelves that resides along the back wall. All manner of drinking vessels clutter the oak surfaces. The hard-packed dirt floor sports several torches set on sticks that jut up and illuminate the room. Small windows on both the eastern and western crimson silk walls allow air flow and cause the torches to flicker occasionally. An opening in the northern wall leads to the front of the tent.
Obvious exits: north

You see a set of oak shelves. Looking at the shelves, you see a low oak shelf, a middle oak shelf and a high oak shelf.

On the low oak shelf you see a tall scenic white porcelain stein, a pewter-based shipwrecked stein, a jewel-inlaid silver stein, a wooden coconut-shaped stein, a driftwood lighthouse stein and a scrimshaw stein.

a tall scenic white porcelain stein

Show: Cast in off-white porcelain with a shiny glazed finish, this tall and weighty commemorative stein features three low-relief scenes from around the archipelago of Four Winds. Captured in glossy green and dull brown pigments are seven tall and sprawling banyan trees draped with liana vines. Offsetting this striking central illustration is a lazy meandering blue river speckled with creamy lilies and purple water hyacinth on one side and the image of jagged grey rocks in turbulent whirlpools on the other.

15k
a pewter-based shipwrecked stein

Show: Rippled walls of tinted blue glass etched with various forms of sea life swim above the wreckage of a ship cast in pewter. The mast, twisted and broken, forms the handle.

15k
a jewel-inlaid silver stein

Show: Crafted from fine silver, the stein exhibits exquisite craftsmanship throughout and is polished to a sleek mirror finish. Dazzling saewehna jewels, cut into the shapes of their namesake hummingbirds, butterflies, fireflies, and dragonflies, are nestled amidst the exotic flowers that are etched along the sides. The slanted base is inlaid with overlapping blue green lagoon opals, silvery blue Alhan'aht rivertears, and carved silver seashells in a pattern reminiscent of gentle waves by the beach.

15k
a wooden coconut-shaped stein

Show: Carved from mistwood and stained a dark sable, this squat stein resembles a hollow coconut shell. A hinged pewter lid stacked with colorful fruit-shaped sea glass covers the mouth of this vessel, and a red cherry is balanced on top. Matching curved pewter handles have been affixed to either side. Elaborately scripted writing has been burned into the base.
There appears to be something written on it.

15k
a driftwood lighthouse stein

Show: A bar of yellow sea glass bursts from the carved lens on the stein to form the upper portion of the handle, meeting the remains of the dune-carved handle. Bleached from sun and smoothed from the pounding of the surf, only faint carvings in the driftwood illustrate the balcony and seams between the planks of the lighthouse. A cast pelican forms the lever on the pewter dome that doubles as the lid.

15k
a scrimshaw stein

Show: Crafted from a single large piece of ivory and carved into the shape of a stein, the craftsmanship of the piece is flawless. Adorning the entire exterior of the stein is an etched myriad of scenes, from great ships amidst crashing waves to the deepest creature-filled jungle. The face of Mist Harbor and her environs stretch across the surface of the stein.

15k

On the middle oak shelf you see a gem-inlaid mosaic stein, a stylized carved bamboo stein, a stoneware pewter-lidded stein, a bird-painted white porcelain stein, a lacquered carved cocobolo stein, a porcelain town crier stein, a frosted glass stein and a carved ivory stein.

a gem-inlaid mosaic stein

Show: Painted in emerald greens and blues, the earthenware stein has been etched across the circumference with a myriad of tiny fish, each inlaid with a polished sliver of diamond, mother-of-pearl, jasper, or serpentine. The overall effect is an abstract mosaic pattern of colored gems that glitter in the ambient light.

15k
a stylized carved bamboo stein

Show: Dominating the stein is a scene of people paddling small boats around reefs, inlets, islets and various rocks. A few of them appear to have given up padding and are depicted attempting to capture a gathering of butterflies with nets and jars. The diverse insects are all painted in bright colors. The serpentine handle is a stylized butterfly with folded wings with Alhan'aht rivertear-inset, teardrop-shaped markings that resemble gentle waves. On the base of the vessel are a few boldly etched words.
There appears to be something written on it.

15k
a stoneware pewter-lidded stein

Show: The natural color of the pale, flecked stoneware has been coated with a heavy glaze. Clay rock-like protrusions, painted in stormy grey, give depth and texture to the base. One red-framed window is artfully painted below panoramic blue-tinted glass which encircles the top, giving the mug an overall look akin to a lighthouse. The pewter lid is shaped in the design of overlapping shingles and the curved handle depicted by a stylized ribbon-bound scroll.

15k
a bird-painted white porcelain stein

Show: This slender white porcelain stein features a front panel depicting a driftwood bowl overflowing with birdseed and surrounded by an array of brightly colored birds. Images of glossy black toucans with vivid orange beaks are juxtaposed with emerald green parrots and brilliant white seagulls, all vying for attention with tiny scarlet tanagers and ruby-throated hummingbirds. A solid pewter base has been added for stability.
There appears to be something written on it.

15k
a lacquered carved cocobolo stein

Show: Seamlessly crafted from a single chunk of fine-grained cocobolo wood, the stein is lacquered to a rich, glossy finish. Winding liana vines and intertwining stalks of draping ivory lilies are carved along the sturdy handle, while a profusion of delicately carved hibiscus and plumeria blossoms adorns the slanted base. Painted colorful macaws are nestled amidst the verdant leafy palm fronds that encircle the sides of the stein, while the darker hue of the interior is reminiscent of the lagoon's depths.

15k
a porcelain town crier stein

Show: The stein's tapered porcelain body has been modeled on the plump town crier of Mist Harbor. The figure has been hand-painted with a cobalt relief with vibrant colors used to depict ornate regalia, beneath a crisp white tunic. A bell protrudes from detailed plump fingers and various shops have been painted in the background. Intricate gold banding twists around an ornate handle. An engraved silver lid and finial forms the top of the stein, with a flattened silver thumblift.

15k
a frosted glass stein

Show: The round bodied stein is constructed from opaque glass tapering to a gold-trimmed rim. The front and side panels are engraved with the image of a boating dock. Translucent green coloring is used to depict figures within pedal boats and distant islands. An angular handle of smooth glass protrudes from the stein's side. A silver lid is adorned with an island motif in relief and embedded with a twisted blue waterweb.

15k
a carved ivory stein

Show: Carved along the stein's ivory circumference is an intricate scene of the Alhan'aht River surrounded by various jungles. The river itself is comprised of blue sapphire dust and remains the focal point of the design as it winds around the stein. Tinted in different shades of green, the jungles along the river bank create an uneven texture. The words "Wild Beauty" are engraved in common along the handle and are surrounded by stylized vines that continue along the top and bottom edges of the piece.

[Perk Up, Sitting Room]
A grouping of antique modwir rocking chairs form a semi-circle around a small iron stove topped with a hammered copper kettle. Beside the stove but separated by a few feet is a small wicker chest, its lid open to reveal its contents. The heady scent of freshly roasted coffee beans permeates the air, growing stronger with every stir of a thick green velvet partition.
Obvious exits: none

In the wicker chest you see some spring water, a handful of tinder, an exceedingly dry split log and a match.
Supplies for brewing tea or coffee using the stove and kettle in the room

Brewing Tea and Coffee
To brew tea or coffee, you will need a stove, a kettle for tea, a coffee press for coffee, new style water, a split log, tinder, a source of fire, a cup to hold the drink, and either tea leaves or coffee grounds. An infuser or flavorings are helpful, but not necessary.
In addition to Perk Up, Misty's Teas in Western Harbor (Lich room 17595) and Galieca's Teas in Ta'Illistim (Lich room 13228) have rooms with all of the required supplies to brew coffee and tea, including selling flavorings and packets of tea leaves or coffee grounds.
Note that packets, tins and jars may need to be closed and opened again before the tea leaves or coffee grounds will appear in the container.
Example of Brewing Tea
>l in chest

In the wicker chest you see some spring water, a handful of tinder, an exceedingly dry split log and a match.

>get water in chest

You pour yourself some spring water.

>pour water in kettle

You pour all of your spring water into a hammered copper kettle.

>put leaves in kettle

You carefully measure a portion of tea leaves and place it into a hammered copper kettle.

>l in kettle

In the copper kettle you see some clear liquid. The kettle is full. You also see some tea leaves.

>stow my packet

>open stove
You should clean out the ashes inside first.

>clean stove

You slide open the grate at the bottom of the iron stove, shake out the ashes inside, and slide the grate closed.

>open stove

You open the grate on the side of the iron stove.

>get log

You select an exceedingly dry split log.

>put log in stove

You place the dry split log inside the iron stove.

>get tinder

You light the match by flicking it against your thumb.

>light stove

What will you use to light the iron stove?

>light stove with my match

You place your burning match against the handful of tinder inside the iron stove, and watch as it slowly catches fire.

Tea is now brewing. Look inside the kettle every so often to get a sense of how strong it is. The longer the tea brews, the stronger it will be.
>get my mug

>take kettle
Lifting a hammered copper kettle from a small iron stove, you tip the spout of your kettle over a large white porcelain mug and carefully fill it.

>drink my mug

>drink my mug
You take a drink from your white porcelain mug.
The tea is just right.
As you finish your sip, you notice some leavings at the bottom of the mug.
You have one quaff left.

>l in my mug

Gazing down into the nearly empty mug, you notice a single whole leaf floating in the tea. Turning the mug slightly, you see the letter "N" formed by some leavings. Tilting the mug toward you, you make out the image of a Krrska in the leavings.
>l in my mug
You turn the mug and view the leavings inside at a different angle, making out the images of a crescent moon from this point of view.
>l in my mug
You turn the mug and view the leavings inside at a different angle, making out the images of a fork from this point of view.
>l in my mug
You turn the mug in an attempt to discern any other images in the leavings, but fail to notice any other than what you originally saw.

>drink my mug

You take a drink from your white porcelain mug. A roiling mixture of sweet and tart compliment the flavor of this light-bodied tea in a splash of raspberry zest.
The tea is just right.
That was the last drop!

>take kettle

But a hammered copper kettle is empty!

Options and Notes on Brewing Tea and Coffee
When brewing tea or coffee using your own equipment, you'll need to set the kettle on the stove to brew tea. You also remove the kettle from the stove and pour it into the cup, rather than simply taking the kettle with your cup in hand.
The amount of time the tea or coffee is allowed to brew will directly affect the drink's strength. If aiming for tea that is just right, continue checking the kettle until you see a rich golden liquid inside. Wait about 15-30 seconds and then pour into cups.
Infusers can be used when brewing tea, and perhaps coffee. They hold the tea leaves, so that when the infuser is removed from the kettle, the tea leaves are also removed from the water and the tea will not become stronger with time. To use, place the tea leaves in the infuser and place the infuser in the kettle, instead of placing the leaves directly in the kettle. When the tea is at the desired strength, simply remove the infuser.
Water may be poured multiple times in the kettle to fill it up. It need not be completely filled to brew drinks, however.
Casting 903 at the kettle or waving an aquamarine wand will also fill it with water if the room is not a sanctuary.
Stoves accumulate ashes from a previous use and must be cleaned out before they can be used again. Cleaning out the stove sometimes leaves ashes as an object in the room.
Logs and tinder can also be obtained from the charcoal burner at the kobold mine outside the Landing.
Fire spells can also be cast at the stove to light it, if the room is not a sanctuary.
The images seen in tea leaves in the cups are random, and some characters use them as a method of fortunetelling. Some possible images and potential interpretations have been collected by Charna's player and offered here.

a rectangular wood-framed tall oilskin tent emblazoned with Turamzzyrian crests

[Taste of Turamzzyr, Entrance]
Sturdy wooden poles, bound with lengths of thick rope, provide a robust frame for the many layers of oilskin that form the walls and canopy of this rectangular showroom. The din of the festival is heard beyond an arched entryway leading out to the north, while a more humble atmosphere to the south is complimented by the delicate sound of clinking glasses. A multitude of robust spices and herbs dominates the otherwise woody scent of the tent. Near a painted wooden sign, a stained ash pallet is stacked high with wooden cases. You also see a carved ash drink list and a long mistwood box.

Pine cases are stacked on pallets along either side of the tent's interior, leaving a moderate amount of walking space between them. North leads to the tent's entryway, where the muted sounds of the festival can be heard, and south leads to the rear of the tent, where yet another grouping of pallets reside. Mounted to the backmost wall of the tent, a carved oak wine list is prominently displayed over a reinforced sturdy wooden counter. Dimly glowing lanterns, mounted on a thick wooden beam overhead, offer a comfortable measure of visibility, the flames within flickering indifferently as patrons walk by. Tropical Tastes

Pelican Lane, map room 8

a large white wagon

[Tropical Tastes]
Surrounded on all sides by white-painted walls, the wagon's space is dominated by a long cloth-covered counter in the foreground and a polished wooden bar near the back. Behind the bar, a slim open doorway emits the faint scent of smoke and a flickering light. The floor is polished wooden planks, and displays several small table and chair sets that occupy the space in the most optimal way possible.
Obvious exits: out

Counter: A length of white cloth covers the counter from end to end, its edges hanging down on all sides in triangular points. Set on opposite ends, a large entree serving platter and a circular dessert tray offer delectable wares for sale. The center of the counter is dominated by a silk floral arrangement of tropical blooms wrapped around two white pillar candles.

Under the cloth-covered counter you see an etched glass mug with a toucan motif, a hollow coconut shell with a hole for a spout, a slender cocktail glass with a tiny paper parasol sticking out, a smooth steel flask incised with a flowery motif, a halved coconut shell with a hollow center, a stiff leather wineskin with a braided hemp strap, a thick cordial glass with a golden rim, a thin-stemmed cocktail glass painted with tiny pineapples, a dented steel flask with a weathered leather strap and a crystal decanter with rounded edges.

A wood stove in the corner casts a flickering light that illuminates the white-painted walls that surround this small room. The scent of smoke pervades the area, dispersed only by errant drafts that enter through a slim open doorway at the front of the room. The Upper Crust

Sandy Peninsula, map room 16
Lich room 19371
a sprawling blue and ivory striped pavilion

[The Upper Crust]
Walls of ivory-striped cornflower blue silk enclose the area of the tent, the fabric complementing the silvered glass case standing at the center of the room. Several flour-bedecked shelves showcase a variety of fillings, each portion carefully labeled and measured into ribbon-tied glass canisters. From the east, scents of fruit-filled pies waft through the ivory bead curtain, while the sounds of muffled voices emanate from a small alcove to the west. Obvious exits: west, out

In the silvered glass case you see a slice of fennel sausage pie, a slice of fluffy egg pie, a slice of creamy chicken pie, a slice of cheesy bacon pie and a slice of rich beef pie.

On the flour-bedecked shelves you see some coconut cream filling, some blackberry filling, some spiced hazelnut filling, some strawberry filling, some tangy cherry filling, some vanilla cream filling, some blueberry filling, some tart raspberry filling, some caramel apple filling, some mixed fruit filling, some succulent peach filling, some chocolate cream filling and a ball of sticky dough.

[The Upper Crust, Delivery]
Tucked away from the main room, this dimly lit corner is quieter in comparison to the other parts of the shop. Clusters of family portraits featuring beaming faces hang on the wall above a scuffed wooden bench, each one displaying a number of pies piled high in the background. Standing behind the long counter displaying a dark-inked sign is a tall baker with a mischievous grin, idly tapping a wooden spoon against a freshly baked pie.
Obvious exits: east

In the Common language, it reads:

Nothing says that you care quite like a hand delivered pie, and we here at Upper Crust are happy to help you send that caring message to all your friends. For a mere 10,000 silver, I will have one of my boys hand-deliver a pie to the person of your choosing. To get your order started, step up to counter with a pie in your right and GIVE BAKER.

Baker: Though well past middle aged, the lanky baker effervesces with youthful exuberance. Wide smudges of flour cover his face, accentuating the deep laugh lines at the corners of his twinkling green eyes.

[The Upper Crust, Kitchen]
In contrast to the well-kept front room, this small kitchen area is in a state of utter chaos. Towering stacks of pie tins, remnants of flaky crust and sticky filling still clinging to their edges, line the counters that ring the space. Amidst the carelessly spilled flour stands a large wooden island, its surface covered in globs of uncooked dough, which supports a large metal machine. A jumbled pattern of footprints on the messy floor, indicative of heavy traffic, leads back to the ivory bead curtain.
Obvious exits: none

Machine: While there are levers, knobs, and buttons all over this machine, they don't appear to do much. A small door on the front of the machine and a large, red-handled knob beside it seem to be the most important features. Many obvious repair jobs and miscellaneous dents on the machine give the impression that it has not been very reliable.

The Vine and Stem

Crane Lane, map room 2
Lich room 19348
an elegant golden oak wagon carved with curling grape vines

[The Vine and Stem, Salesroom]
The interior of the wagon is richly appointed, its walls of golden oak rising from a floor carpeted in thick sage-hued rugs to a ceiling of sturdy beams. At regular intervals, gilt-based lamps are stationed around the perimeter of the area, creating a warmly lit space in which to browse wares. A single table occupies the majority of the floor space, its legs carved to resemble a majestic wyvern, while cases marked with the crests of the elven houses edge the walkway leading further into the shop. You also see a carved round oak door.
Obvious exits: north

In the Common language, it reads:

~ Welcome to The Vine and Stem ~
Please enjoy our variety of elven wines and special drinking containers.
Please note that containers made from glass, crystal or other fragile materials will break when tossed.

On the wyvern-legged table you see a small white parchment, a gold-bound bottle of case, a dark stone stein, a dark gold wine-bowl and a crimson-swept pale gold wine glass.

[The Vine and Stem, Salesroom]
Gilt-based lamps burning here smell sweetly of jasmine and give off little to no smoke at all to pollute the fragrance. Against one wall of the wagon sits a rose-carved ebony table, and against the opposing wall is a pecock feather-edged table, each with a neatly arranged display. Above the tables hang corresponding silk banners, the fabric painted in a myriad of hues with the most skillful of brush strokes.
Obvious exits: north, south

On the ebony table you see a small white parchment, a silver-banded ebonwood wine case, a swirled glass wine-bowl, an ebon-stemmed jade green wine glass and a tall ebon-tinted glass.

On the feather-edged table you see a small white parchment, a sturdy mistwood wine case, an elegant sapphire wine glass, a silver wine-bowl and a sapphire crystal goblet.

[The Vine and Stem, Salesroom]
Chairs with pale green cushions and padded arms have been placed around the room, their soft hue a compliment to the warmth of the wagon's oak walls. Beneath the flickering flames of nearby gilt-based lamps, an oak leaf-carved table and a silver harp-inlaid table guard the outer edges of this space, leaving the center aisle open so shoppers can browse. A silk banner hangs above each of the tables, their respective elven house crests painted in vibrant colors on the fine-spun fabric.
Obvious exits: south

On the leaf-carved table you see a small white parchment, a pale oak wine case, a gold-stemmed viridian wine glass, a golden oak wine-bowl and a polished drinking horn.

On the harp-inlaid table you see a small white parchment, a simple tulipwood wine case, a harp-etched lavender wine glass, a frosted violet crystal wine-bowl and a pale lilac crystalline goblet.

Vinter is Coming

Crane Lane, map room 3
Lich room 19350
a red-splotched white tent

[Vinter is Coming, Wines]
An unfortunate drapery of white cloth shields the ground underfoot, spattered with blotches and dark stains that make the surroundings look like less of a tent and more of a murder scene. Three sputtering lanterns high in the makeshift eaves of the tent add to the illusion, casting the area in a fitful half-light. The smell of oil and smoke commingles with the slightly stale scent of wine that has known better days. You also see a red-splotched white tent flap and a dilapidated wooden table with some stuff on it.
Obvious paths: none

On the wooden table you see a goblet of bold dark wine, a goblet of blackberry wine, a goblet of crisp white wine, a goblet of sweet dessert wine, a goblet of rose blush wine, a goblet of aged wine, a goblet of dark red wine, a goblet of elderberry wine, a goblet of clear citrus wine and a goblet of black cherry wine.
